Choices and Free Will

Every life begins in a beautiful way, just the way it is intended. But over a period of time we begin to include elements that not only affect us but those around us too. Elements of our emotions, desires, wants, power etc. And all this for (ironically) a better, super life. Time and again we give way to our ego, pride. Time and again we fall prey to the traps of our satanic desires. Time and again we falter. Seldom we return to our purity, simplicity and perhaps the innocence that we were born with.

In life we choose something over other, charting a course for ourselves. There are always options. Good or bad? well that is something we discover later. But we do have an option to choose, to choose the right options. That's something we all were gifted with - A free will. We can decide what's right, what's wrong. What's a truth and what's a lie. Yet we fail to see clear.

Perhaps, God gifted us with free will precisely for this reason. He must have known that we shall falter as humans. But He desired the truth to be understood in its completeness and purity. Most often, we make mistakes and then after some period of guilt or realization, we accept what is right. We understand the truth better. We see clearly what is better.

If free will is meant to give a freedom of choice, then why not let it be a medium to make choices that will not result in guilt or repentance? Why not make it an instrument of getting closer to our innocence, purity and simplicity. We are human and do make our share of mistakes. But our experiences of past can always influence us and our free will in making the right choice, in choosing options for a better life. Perhaps, in this manner we could be closer to God or that super power that guides our lives and takes care of this beautiful world.

We may still make mistakes despite intending to be right, despite intending to make right choices. We may still falter. But at least by intending and choosing something better, we could be assured of getting closer to our purity. Just what we were born with. And being purer and simpler would only assure us more happiness and bliss in our lives.

What's life without purpose?

Purpose. The sole reason behind our greatest and smallest actions...Big or small, everything we do in life is guided by a purpose. You want great education-purpose:make it big in future, you want great perks-purpose: life a great life with great money...and the list is endless. But almost everything we do in life is guided by one sole purpose: Happiness.

Everyday, unconsciously we all are running after happiness. At the end of the day if we don't find happiness in what we do, we sulk about it...and then again run after it the next day. Everything seems terrific when we do find happiness on a day...Isn't that your case too?

So the universal purpose of every one's life is actually living a happy life, how we do it is solely on us. And we have our own ways to achieve it. But is it something that will seem worth the 60-70 years of your life? What would you look back on to be proud of your life? Of course you did keep happy and gave others happiness... but a purpose that you lived for and can proudly claim as your life's achievement? May be not.

There are some people who make their life worth living by having a great purpose in life...it may be as simple as pledging to keep your family members happy always or just any other small thought, but it certainly will impact you and life of a few others. When you turn back to rewind your life, you will be proud of being worth your life.

That's the real purpose. Happiness is of course a part of every purpose. It will be there. But something that will in turn impact, improve and enhance other lives is what we really should think about.

Its a small life and really not worth tying our self or others into obligations, rituals, traditions that are hollow and do not mean happiness at the end of their completion. Keep life as simple as can be, with immense happiness and a thoughtful purpose.

Being Happy in Adversity

Life is not always the same. If a long period spelled happiness in ones' life, there are always times in life when things don't seem right. It may not be suitable to our preferences, liking, choice or even temperament, yet we need to live through it. Its probably like ones' endurance and patience is tested through such times. Initially we run from such situations and try to find our comfort zone again. Unable to find it back we get all the more hostile towards such situations and stop adjusting. However, the key is to find one or more cause even in such times, which will make us happy. The key is to just be a spectator to such situations and watch where life is heading to. While some other force seems to be in control under such circumstances, we need to be patient, understanding and keep calm from within. Again, one might wonder how we can be calm when things around us are pretty chaotic, out of hand and opposed to what makes us happy? The key is to just analyse whether we can in anyway take control of a part or entire situation and whether factors creating the chaos be changed by us. It is much easier to sit back and let things happen, unless we can do something to improve them. No time lasts forever and so is the case with difficult times. So keep calm from within, divert your mind towards better occupations that will keep you happy and keep a hope that this time too shall just pass away. Indulge into creative pursuits, read good books, listen to music and keep a positive attitude. In adverse times also, there is scope of finding things that are still in our favour - be thankful for those little but existent hopes. All in all, happiness in any and all the times is in our hands. Sometimes we forget about it. But tiding away tough times and enjoying the good times demands our happiness from within. Be positive, be happy and live fully.

Wings of Life

All forms of life struggle their way into this beautiful world. While we humans begin our journey right from the race of sperms for ovule, we actually make it to the world only after a gruelling journey of labour pains of our mothers. Life is therefore earned by all the living forms and hence truly needs to be cherished.
A little bird hatches fights out the hard egg shell and makes way for its life into this world. Ignorant of the harsh realities of life, it starts chirping happily and gets fed by its mother. Till sometime its mother protects, guards and saves it from cruel predators. Yet after sometime it is the little bird's responsibility to explore a whole new world. So viola!, it spreads its wings and takes the flight of fancy. Albeit with practise, but after a few falls, failed lifts and disappointments comes a flight that defines freedom and a beginning of a new life.
As humans we many a times fail to acquire the wings of life and fall back in our own miseries. We fail to look beyond our disappointments and keep focusing on our downfalls. We keep lingering on the failures that our life has encountered and keep questioning its occurrence in our lives. What we do not realize is that life teaches us both good and bad. While we rejoice in its good times, we fail to accept and learn anything from our bad times. It is that fall, that disappointment, that bad time which is actually the lesson for a smooth flight of life, a lesson for gaining strength and confidence to take on difficulties of life.
Just as the saying, 'Tough times do not last, but tough people do', a downfall in life never lasts forever. Yet some of us stretch it beyond its time of existence by not trying to learn a good lesson out of it.
Life is beautiful beyond description, but to truly cherish its essence we need to accept it completely. It is one life that we get after all, why spend it lingering on the bad times? Why not look beyond it? Why not acquire wings of happiness and fly as much as we can? Why not explore all the amazing things that life has to offer?
Life is just for once. Happiness can make a lifetime of a life. Take your wings of happiness and fly. That is what life is all about.

Secret of Happiness

Lord Buddha sought Nirvana under a Banyan tree. He found enlightenment and could free his life of the miseries that life presents us with. But as he had said, "Craving is root cause of all miseries", it seems it holds good even today. If you can free your soul of Cravings, you can surely find the true happiness within. Happiness is not just presence of people, luxuries or other beautiful things around us. It is a feeling of being truly content at heart, soul and mind. If one can feel satisfaction in his life and end his craving for materialistic things, he can truly walk on path of happiness.

This is probably not humanely possible, more so because in today's world money and power reign supreme. They are the top two things that everyone is running after. Ultimately both are supposed to give happiness - Happiness of being rich, richer and richest or Happiness of being powerful, more powerful and most powerful! But in most cases than not, they return misery.
Do you think the richest and most powerful man/ woman on this earth would be the happiest too? "No". The answer is "No".

One Craving leads to another and creates a long chain that just keeps extending along with our life. Though doing what Lord Buddha did is not possible today (leaving his kingdom and family to attain Enlightenment), the least we can try and do is to feel satisfied with what we have, to stop comparing our happiness on the basis of what others possess. This does not mean that we put an end to our ambitions, but means that we do not run a rat race.

Just as happiness is quite a relative feeling, feeling content, satisfied is also relative. To feel this peace within you, seek what gives you satisfaction and contentment. If it can make you feel at peace with yourself and your life, then probably you have attained your own small but significant "Nirvana" or Enlightenment - – a secret to Happiness!

Survival of the Happiest!

Recessional Woes? Slowdown Fears? Well, these are the most familiar terms that entire world knows today. This recession has not only brought the world to a slower pace, but also brought immense disturbance in some people's lives. Losing jobs, money or real estate have been some few consequences. But as we say, there is always a scope for hope.

Once in while we do need to learn our lessons, sometimes the whole world learns it together! And in this entire learning, some of us forget our basic need to be happy. Probably the damage done cannot be reversed or fixed immediately and quickly. But we can always hope for this slowdown to subside and wish for happier days to return again. While happiness cannot be enforced, it surely can be found in the smallest of the things around us. Your family, children, relatives and the beautiful world around is is enough to find it. If we can keep our happiness intact through these trying times, we can look back at our life with pride and renewed strength. After all, in good times too we aim to be happy with all the resources (money, spending etc). Then why not maintain it while we face the tougher days? After all it does not cost you anything!

One who can stride through these days with happiness would emerge stronger. And after all, isn't survival all about endurance to environment? Probably after a year or so, you will be happy to say, " I'm a survivor because I could keep my happiness intact".

Times change and so should you. But why forget something that we all strive for? "Happiness"
Let this slowdown be an era of Survival of Happiest and there by the Fittest!

These days it is quite common to go for various kinds of rejuvenating therapies, like Spa, Massages, Body Detox, Face Detox, Mind Detox etc. Wish there was a Life Detox kind of therapy too? Wishful thinking!

When our mind is tired with worries and thoughts, we seek peace and happiness. In trying times we tend to blame our Life for everything. But do we ever care to know how our Life is faring? If our Life is shaping up in the wrong direction, it is only we, as an individual work towards re-shaping it in the right direction.

Everyone faces obstacles of a kind or another in their Life. But few of us find an opportunity in them. Rather we create a problem out of every small obstacle we are faced with and unnecessarily increase our worries. If we keep messing our Life with one ‘problem’ or the other, how can our Life be faring well? We cannot expect our Life to be happy unless we spread happiness around us. And this does not mean smiling or laughing all the time, but it means that you find an opportunity in obstacles that you come across, you keep your Life simple and uncluttered, feel blessed to have yet another day in your Life, feel content about all that you have and not crib for what you don’t, spread joy and peace amongst people around you, feel good about the beautiful world around you and much more…

Happiness is the easiest emotion. It is one emotion that we can definitely create and spread around. A happy person spreads much more joy, peace and happiness around him. All of us feel good with presence of some people in our Life. It is because they bring about happiness in our Life and hence we seek their company more often. So why not become one of them? Why not spread cheer of Life amongst those close to you?

Life is short, uncertain and quite unpredictable. If we can make most of today, feel blessed and joyous about our Life, hope to make it better in future and spread happiness around us, we can be sure about having a good Life, a happy Life. This is the least required for detoxifying your Life and sure it comes free!

So turn around obstacles into opportunities, feel good about what you have, spread a smile and give goodness to your Life.

Being Positive: A Miracle!

There are some small but adorable acts that have continued through ages, like wishing for something when you see a falling star or may be throwing a coin into the wishing pond and many more. Many of us dismiss them as just another myth, without realising that someone really benefited from that act. These and many more acts of wishing from your heart are nothing but a way of asking the 'Supreme Power' for something that one truly wants. We either believe in God or some 'Power' that guides our life and the well known forces of nature and universe. When we pray, we really put forth our belief, our wish for something that we really want, in hope that it will be heard and answered. What we may not realise is that at that moment we are also having a positive attitude towards this wish that 'it be answered'.

When a person is positive about his desires and wishes, he really gets them one fine day. This is not just a reckless statement, it is something we all experience many a times in our life. Sometimes we really hope for some miracle, like, 'I really wish I get selected in this contest' or 'I really pray that I pass through these exams' etc and many more. And the wish turns out to be true. Is it not?

Similarly, being positive from within about your life, people, your health keeps you hopeful. By being positive, we induce our body to be in a positive frame, thereby ensuring a healthy body. Ever tried telling yourself that you will be fine, when faced with some illness? There have been examples of people getting cured of most serious illnesses, just by keeping a positive attitude that they will be fit and fine soon.

A positive attitude not only helps you achieve what you really wish for, but also helps our mind stay in a good frame without bothering to get mired in negative thoughts and their side effects, thereby ensuring good health. Your positivity also affects people around you, by transmitting positive energy. So now we may be able to solve the jigsaw puzzle of how things like Reiki, Yoga work on people. Its just a matter of thinking good thoughts, thinking positive and being positive about any situation. And you would surely find things turning around in your favor.

The whole world is bound to something or the other - rituals, traditions, religion, desires, greed, wants and everything else. Don't you feel sometimes that life is better off being a simple virtue? Having a belief in something (like religion, tradition, ritual) is one thing, and tying your life with complexities of it is another. If one's belief begins to suffocate us, or bind us in an unwanted condition, then its time to reconsider whether a belief remains a personal choice or is becoming a social obligation.

Life is not as complicated as we have made it through our own choices, beliefs and considerations. Most of the times people exert their self and their ego / importance through such obligations, while at other times they have been made to control life patterns of others. Just as religion is something too sacred and a very personal way of life. Its how a person connects with the Supreme power or tries to find a meaning of his life. Yet, undesirable exertions and over the top acts make it a burden for quite a many people.

Life is a very beautiful expression, which needs a lot of love and strength to grow. But obligations in the name of virtues like tradition, culture, values and religion can stunt its growth towards a beautiful journey. Lets share but not impose our personal beliefs and practises on others in a way that it becomes a burden. Lets be thankful for a life that has little wants and gives you more than you can ever think. Lets keep it simple, just like a flower that blooms, spreads its fragrance and colour and makes world a colourful place!

Live it, completely and let others too...

Your Search is "YOU"

We all have tried to search for that one power, that one solace, that one destiny of our life that would change our life. After running around the world for mortal pleasures and desires, one day we all search for that enlightening peace, that solitude, that calm which will change our life, and take us on path of freedom. Freedom from this worldly occupation, worldly desires and wants. Or may be even that power which we always wanted to exert and yet have been waiting for some miracle to happen.

But few of us realize that our search begins and ends at us. Its only we, our self who can climb the Everest or dive the oceans. Its our inner power, our inner strength, a strong will power and a positive attitude that can move mountains and split oceans. But hardly few of us realize it.

One doesn't need to search for solace in any other spiritual person, for he himself has already found his solace, and even by his guidance we may not find it, unless we search inside us. If anyone on this earth can make you happy, peaceful, satisfied, content...its You.

Realize the power of your own will power, your own strengths, your own mind and soul, and you will realize that its right within you. Life is truly a miraculous incident. But most of us can't figure out where we are and where we can be. God made us, but he also Incorporated his powers within each of us, but left it to us to find and decide how and where we want to utilise it.

Its never late to do anything in life, and may be never early either! Today make yourself confident, strong, positive and happy - and you'll surely realize the power within!

Its You & only You...

Sometimes its difficult to believe how our strongest anchors in life detach fastest away from us and leave us in the lurch. And it mostly happens when our faith in them is growing stronger. May be that's the way its planned to be, so that we grow stronger through these hardships.

The best explanation is that people come in your life for a Reason, Season or Forever.... Those who are there for a reason or a season have been God sent to protect us, care for us, teach us, nurture us... And then when we are on verge of attaching ourselves to them, God takes them farther away...so that we learn to swim the tide on our own.

This again is not such a bad situation, as it may seem. Because its through these lessons we learn that its our Own self that has to be strong willed, strong hearted, strong headed. Of course the love, care, affection and attachment of our loved ones is always there... yet its You who'll tread the path of life alone. So take it in your stride, learn, walk ahead and feel the completeness of life.

Everything in life is for a reason. Its good. For nothing will leave you without a lesson. And life is all the more beautiful when we've learnt our lessons well.... Life is and will always be beautiful... Always live it to your fullest!

Being Calm within....

I used to wonder, why God doesn't have a temper? I mean like the one we earth bound mortals have. We argue, yell, hit out at the drop of a hat... considering the highly inflammable society that we are beginning to be. And its a rare occurrence these days, that you may find someone who would take things calmly, contemplate and over a period of time may (or may not) respond to some ridiculous situation!

Probably the key to being calm to any and every nuisance is to have an inner balance. Who said life would be a bed of roses? But surely to handle it, face it and pass through its tough phases, one should have a distinguishing power. The power to understand the situation, know its Pros & Cons, its importance, its impact on self and others. Once you are able to have an inner control over your stronger emotions (like Anger!), you can face quite a few things of the day.

And this power is something we can learn and attain by contemplating ourselves, our life, our existence and our importance. It would take just few minutes everyday to peacefully ponder over what is more important - Our self or the reaction to a ridiculous situation...

You can determine how important you are to yourself. You can make roses out of those poking thorns. You can decide what can hurt you and what cannot. You and only you can take your life in the direction that you want. And definitely who doesn't love peace? So let it be your way... take control of your inner self and try to make the outer world a better, peaceful and lovelier place to live in!

Probably now we know why God doesn't have a temper, for He created this beautiful Universe... and gave life to one of the most beautiful planet - Our Earth....

Health is a true Wealth!

Not that people don't know this. We've all heard it umpteen number of times. Yet do we really care? Except the recent wave of fitness that's going across major cities, how many people really bother about their precious wealth called health?

Like everything else, we take our body and life for granted. As its the dumping zone for any and every kind of trash stuff. Eating? Yes, sure, lets dump some more of oil, preservatives, colours, sugar to our body - Lets have the forbidden stuff right away, for all we know is that our body will accommodate and adjust....Thoughts? Yes, let have some nice negative thought / worry to keep our mind mill churning, for all we know is that mind will forget.... at some time, someday......

Mind, body and soul exist in harmony in a life form, till we grow up and start catering to our whims and fancies for food, thought & actions! Its a precious and valuable gift that we should really care about. Its a source of existence and your only ticket to life!

The least that we can do to take care of it is to know what we are thinking, doing, eating... are we treating it well? Is your body happy with you? Are you feeling happy within it? If the answer is 'No', its high time we fix it.

Eat Fresh / Healthy, Think Positive / Good, Live Well / with Punctuality, Treat your body as a precious gift.... And Happiness will be inherited on its own....

Why Worry?

Some of us know that darkness is nothing but lack of light... similarly foolishness is nothing but lack of wisdom & many such instances where lack of a positive component leads to creation/presence of a negative component. Yet there are some instances wherein this lack of a positivity is self created. For instance, the biggest source of hindrance to our happiness: Worry. Its a very self created factor that slowly and steadily creates lack of happiness and a positive attitude.

Ever wondered what causes this worry? Well, you conviniently welcome negative thoughts about something in your mind and create a cozy place for them to grow. Once they are at home, they begin to multiply and start linking themselves with the most illogical reasonings. The result: You begin to feel burdened, heavy (heart) and sad. And then we blame the world for not being such a nice place to live in.

What I've said above may sound like a theoretical explanation of some bacterial infection, but then think of it. Isn't it worse than one? Atleast you can cure yourself of bacterial infection through medicines, but what about a self acquired, self propogated and self raised infection? This can't be cured unless you gear up to eliminate negativity from your mind, body & soul.

Worrying has never helped any cause, nor has it solved any problem. Then why not just keep happy and let things happen through efforts? Just imbibe all the positivity you can and throw off any negative thoughts that try to creep... the result would be a body, mind and soul thats full of energy, happiness and purity.

"I"

The smallest and biggest word used by people is "I". Well, you're surely smart to see its a single letter and hence the smallest, but still wondering how its the biggest? "I" translates to "I, me, myself", in every way. It emphasizes one's worth, one's achievements, one's value, one's importance, one's place in this ever changing, moving world! Most importantly "I" is EGO.

But do we really ever wonder about it? Have you ever asked how big you are. What are the relative comparison factors? Probably none. Probably, you're still smaller than the smallest of the things on Earth. And that's because you still have a void, a lacking space, a desire, a want hovering in your heart and mind. You still own and wish to own a lot more than you already have. Yes, its right to be wanting, desiring. But then, its right and even more right to be giving.

For only when you learn to give more and take only as much as comes, you can be free of your ego. Free of "I". This is a state of well being within your heart, peace within your mind, happiness in your thoughts & acts... and satisfaction in life. For being happy would liberate you from undesirable wants, non-realistic achievements and many more dilemmas of life.

For once if you can feel happy, contented, full throughout the day, you can experience what I wish to say. And this time, mind it please... 'I' wasn't meant to be an "I".... its one without ego, one with wish to give, one with happiness.

Add Life to life!

There's much to life than we know and see. Each day is a gift and its on us how happily and excitedly we unwrap it to experience utmost joy and satisfaction. Each day, we don't know how the day would go ahead, but we can certainly time it to go our way. Just let the obstacles pass by you, anger evaporate above you, jealousy slide below you and vice vanish before you. Let just happiness encase you. And that will happen only when you do what you wish to, you do what you love the most, you do what you always want to. And then, all that you will experience is Joy, Happiness and Thrill.

Life is about nothing but Happiness. Everything works fine, seems fine, turns fine and feels fine if you are Happy. Its the easiest and best way to add Life to life. Its the best way to unwrap your gift each day. Its a way to say Thanks to God for a wonderful gift called Life!

So much to Life!

There's a bright day and starry night each day. God probably thought of a daily opera for all us creatures of Earth. But we are more curious to know if Tulsi's back to Kyuki, or whether some Celebrity is marrying or divorcing or simply some routine neighbourhood / office / society gossip that we can lay our hands onto!

We probably forget that there is a brand new opera that's to begin with us each day. And of course end with us each day too! Every day comes with a thousand opportunities. Opportunity to read, sing, dance, paint, work, love, travel, wonder, write, research, desire, give, bring, feel... I think its endless... And all this is not a core profession or a core task that I have mentioned. Its something each of us can do / are capable of doing. Yet we forsake all of it for smaller issues of life.

Think of taking a small stroll under the starry sky, or sitting by a rock near the sea and listening to Music or reading a good book. No show can match this one... where you can be with yourself and your life. Probably He gave us emotions, so that we can enact a great show everyday... Just how you'd do it is on you. "The End" should always make you happy... make you fulfilled, make you feel satisfied & definitely make you want the next day even more eagerly!

Each day in life is precious, make it as good as you can!

Ideally Speaking... Life should be:

Ideally, I should have been an interior designer / model / CEO. Ideally, I should have been living in London / Switzerland / Paris. Ideally I should have had "Rs. X million" amount of bank balance by this age .... The list can just go on.

"Ideally" everything seems perfect, beautiful & so well fitted into our life. We always have a scope for "idealism" to settle in, no matter what task at hand. But its never so. No matter how perfect we execute, get, receive, send, give or perform, we always have this scope undelivered!

Pause here now and think that if there was only "Idealism" in our life, we would be left with no more wishes. No more desire to have more, do more, get more. Its this unfinished, incompleteness that gives us wings of hopes, desires and wants.

In life you may get what's "Ideal", but then you may not value it, because you would'nt have seen the "not so ideal" picture. God really had the vision to see this "forever wanting" (crudely - Greed!) in us humans. That's exactly why He gave you life the way it is. So that you value it, desire for something better and achieve your ideal life.

Today, if you're still there waiting for ideal things to happen, stop and think: Nothing ideal or perfect exists... You ought to manage yourself and your life to get an ideal.

Marriage / Husband / Wife / Sister / Brother / Job / House / Money: Nothing can be tagged ideal... till you really hone yourself to be one. Its just this lifetime... make it "The ideal one!"

Flaunting Life

There are many schools of thought, action and deeds when it comes to shaping and living your life. People have conservative/open, small/lavish, miserly/splurging lifestyles. They are happy to be living that way. Some dream of crossing lines to greener pastures, while others boast of being simple & conservative. But they fail to realise that by binding their life with stringent rules and restrictions in life, they are curbing freedom of their souls. If your life hasn't spanned across the various joys of this world, it actually remains fully lived.

By liberating soul and your life, I only mean that life has everything to offer: joys, dreams, fun, happiness, hope, achievements... the list goes on. But winding it across a pole of strict and restrained thoughts would only suffocate it.

This is where Mumbai, a city of hopes and dreams is something that has really inspired me. Everyone comes here with a dream, a desire. And it embraces them fully. This aspect is amiss across any other city of India. Of course other cities are more beautiful, but Mumbai is a reflection of how life can be, if only you have a hope, a desire, a dream, a longing and a will. And not to worry if you are not living here... all you need is to liberate yourself and scope your life towards all the goodness that life has to offer!!!

Everyone has a nice life, flaunt it... : )

What's the difference? I exist or live or be! Well...a vast one. Everyone exists on earth, few live and even fewer really are (Being). The difference lies in attitude to life. We take it for granted and think as if we are here forever. But there are few enlightened souls (in third category) who really know that this ain't forever, so make most of it till it lasts.

Think of this: our world confines to our immediate surroundings... we hardly ever think of the larger world existing on earth... we rarely wish to see the other colours of life across this earth. May be all that we do is to see yet another day without having a wish, without a desire, without a longing. By being full of desires, hopes and dreams, you'd start living, than just existing as an anonymous "yet another soul".

Add to these dreams, hopes and desires a thousand beliefs, convictions & passion... and what you have is an enlightened, wise, free soul who is not just existing or living... but Being. Choose your way of life and then may be you'd regret not being able to see how beautiful life is. But again, have no despair, for its never too late to Live Life.

The Mush & Warmth of Life: Love

One of the most beautiful and heart warming emotion is that of Love. And to have a day celebrated in its name, is only a small tribute to this most beautiful feeling. Everyone experiences love in their life and yet never bothers to thank the Almighty for installing this mush and warmth in everyone's genetic code!

And even today, when celebration of love is on a high (Valentine's Day), all around the world, there are still some eccentrics, who go all across the board to oppose it. Is it so difficult for them to understand that one day in celebration of love will only spring a million smiles, a million exchange of roses (for the Day is now celebrated for every relationship), a million gifts, a million warm feelings exchanged?

Life is all about being happy and spreading love, which in turn again brings happiness. Then why can't eccentrics learn that celebrating Love will only increase harmony, peace and warmth. We'd rather thank St. Valentine for keeping one day out of 365 to thank and celebrate Love, than start banning it just because its an alien culture. Love is not an alien, its rooted in every culture and tradition. And so should be its celebration.

Life is a celebration, a festival, a carnival. But without happiness, we can't think of smiles. Without love, we can't be happy. So isn't it this Love that makes the world go round. Lets be genuine in what we choose to oppose. Oppose hatred if you can, wars if you can, poverty if you can. After all, St.Valentine is famous for Love (till today...). Choose your way to Life - share, show & spread Love. Its harmless, beautiful, mushy, warm and most importantly- Our Life.

To be or WHAT to be?

There are times in life when your own loved ones fail to understand you. And though they claim to know you better than themselves, yet they can't cope with you at times. It becomes a hazy, abstract situation, wherein, we don't know how to be with them (though we have tried our best to best with them!!!).

Though life is far more interesting than just tackling such tasks, yet there are times when everything else is put to side in pursuit of ideals. Quite a few people wish for everything IDEAL in their life: ideal mother, wife, husband, father, daughter, friend, siblings....the list goes on. But again, ideal, like happiness is an abstract and relative term. Each has his/her own versions! Sadly, you can't download all such versions and start being one. A possible way out is to be what you are yet act someone else (the ideal one). But this again is short lived. And someday would outpour. Then is there a way out to know what To be or WHAT to be?

The Wishing Heart

Life is a special wish. We all strive through life to reach somewhere in life. While its an unsaid standard to wish for being rich and famous, there are quite a few small yet important wishes that people make through their life.

How often have you really made a wish from deep within your heart? We have all known or seen small ponds or wells wherein a coin thrown would fetch you your cherished wish. However, you needn't go to a pool or a pond to do that. All you need is a heart. Yes, anything you really desire form your heart will surely come to you some or the other time in your life.

We needn't go too far than just hoping for our dreams from our hearts. Once wished, our ways, our life, our destiny gets directed towards fulfillment of that wish. That's when you wonder as to how did it happen.

Of course, make a kind wish, not one that harms anything on this earth. After all, life's a special wish itself... your parents wished for a wonderful child like you, and there you are...living on earth...so why not go ahead and make a wish for yourself.... sooner or later you'll see it come true.

Carnival of Life

Ever seen a Carnival? May be that of Rio or our very own Goa? Well, a colourful parade of people in various attires and forms, some dancing, some singing, some just hopping around. Wondering what's it got to do with anything but entertainment? Map it to life.

From the time we are born & the gradual years... all of it is one big Carnival. You sure may not realise it and may also disagree. But think of this: all our life we all play one or the other role. But in each role, we, like the costumed participants of a carnival parade, try to get smiles on people's faces.

You may argue that life's not always a happy go lucky stuff...Right. Absolutely. But that's because you asked for such a role. You could have been dancing and singing through it. But you wish to be enacting a negative character. Probably you could change and make things better. Probably you could think positive and put up a happier act. Probably the situation isn't as bad as you are adamant on making it. Probably you're stubborn about something, or holding on to your much pampered and caressed EGO.

Let all of this go. For who knows, you are that one small yet quite a significant character who has brought a smile to many. You end up bringing joy to someone. Yes, everyone's special for someone or the other in this wolrd. And while the world watches us perform in this Carnival, go, just put up the happiest act you can... and watch the world long for your return, again & again. Become special to as many as you can.

What really matters?

We all run behind some pursuit in life. Its achievement of this goal that keeps us happy..... Just a moment..... Does it really make you happy? Turn back and see the trade-offs made to get there...

Some moments and things in life don't come again and again... So cherish their essence in its full glory... who knows tomorrow you may not have the chance! But running after pursuits blinds us to glorious moments of life... Yes, they may be essential to survive, may be, but shouldn't grow beyond our reach. More money, more fame, more promotions - some of the goals we keep running after.... however they all aim to get you to One and Only One point - Happiness.

So everyone's pursuit is actually Happiness. And to get it, it really doesn't matter whether you run fast or slow, ahead or behind, all that really matters is enjoying every bit of it. Not losing on phases of life, so that when you look back, you have nothing, but you do have Happiness in life!

Happiness is all you need...

Ever wondered what goes into making a happy life? We keep trying through our lives different ways of making a happy life.... But we forget that to keep it that way we have to be happy too. Each day comes with a bright sun to say " Hello! Its all yours...go ahead and make it a happy day!" .... But few may ever listen to that... or realise...

Our life, our actions, outcomes are all linked to us. Start being happy about your life, all that you already have in life... life will be happier in return... : ) Its all a magical world if you really want to believe... and no one is a greater magician than you yourself.....

Dream for your dreams, long for them, ask them out from your life, wish for them.... there's no way that life won't give you. Life waits for us to ask soemthing from it... and it also awaits some appreciation... So be happy with what you have - Thank life for it, Ask life for what you really long for - Life shall grant your wish! And that's when it will seem as if there's been a sparkle of magic from Heavens above...

As it Unfolds...

Sometimes you just need to take a backseat and become a spectator of your own life! Don't question the time, or seek any answers... Let it unfold before you like a mystery that's caught you on edge!

Well, for good or not, life does take some turns that leave you wondering about life ahead. But questions would only increase the worry... you still wouldn't be answered. It is during such times that one avails his most valued virtues, Patience. Be patient, and you shall find the beautiful learning attached to the changes taking place. And remember, when life takes a turn, its always to take you on new heights of life, whether you want it or not.

Its this particular feature of life that's so enthralling... to teach us new lessons of life. Lessons that we fully know and yet don't adhere... lessons that will emboss new changes in us as better human beings... lessons that will teach us to value time.... lessons that will bring us closer to God.

And once this happens, you will smile (being a spectator to your life), at the beautiful meaning achieved by changes in life.

Am just Blissfull!!!............That's what marriage does to you! Its a beautiful phase of life to be having someone so lovely close to to your heart, to be with you forever... To share all the small things of the day...to laugh and fight off the little arguments!

Life turns 180 Degree once marriage sets in....Today you may be a nomadic soul, free-willed, independent... full winged! Yet there's a constant lonliness that encompasses your life... once you step into the world of this blissful togetherness... you're just more Complete! There's nothing more you want, but this togetherness to last forever...

Everyone's capable of many a feat in life... yet most fall apart when it comes to bringing joys and happiness to personal life... That's what a marriage is all about....Being able to bring happiness in someone's life...every single day...every year...forever.

Bliss is when you see happiness & peace on face of your loved one... And its not just particular to a marriage relationship... But surely vice versa! Feel bliss of your relation... its definitely a task only you can accomplish...

Think of it, seems like just yesterday... Time...

Moments spent in joys and pain...frozen in sands of time. Look back and it seems unrealistic sometimes...Did we really have so much fun... or how did I bear that pain!

Time heals. Yes, it does. So, today, cherish all the love, joy and happiness that you have, for this is what will help you encounter the pain, God forbid. Fill to your heart's content all the warmth that you can, for this will fight the cold days, if ever...

Bless yourself with both joy and love...for there are Angels waiting to take that love while you're in pain...only to return it back to you, filled with warmth, affection and happiness. No pain is forever, but a joy certainly is, for a heart can cry when once in pain, but a smile can stretch on your face everytime you cherish the happy times...

Never let your heart down, for there are joys to bounce it back to life... just some strengths and lessons to learn before you head to humbleness, helpfulness & wisdom.... Thats life....across the sands of time...

In pursuit of happiness...

There are just two phases of life. One childhood, the other: Moneyhood. Come teens and we all start running after the same one carrot: Money. Some do it through free will, others through reluctance. A free will marathon (pursuing vocations that are creativey pursued from our hearts) results in happiness coming in first and then the money. Reluctance marathon (pursuing abstract goals like jobs) brings in money first, then "probably" some happiness.

I value money, but I think that its the most abstract & intriguing objective on earth! We run after it, all life, to get some more....while it robs us of everything we have. Robs us of living a happy life with family, some moments doing just what you want to, of the special days of our lives, of happiness. At the end of it, we probably are rich for the world, but poor for self...

And yet... for all life reduces to a race for money, while the more valuable phases are left behind, only to be looked back with a regret of "how I wish I had".....Look back now & ease your pace in this race, so when you look back, you see more satisfying milestones achieved than just a race half won!
